WHAT IS MEMORY &CONCENTRATION MEANS?
-memory is the ability to remember experience, people,and information while concentration is we put all effort,mental power towards specific activities such as learning and not bothered by some distraction
HOW INFORMATION ARE GATHERED AND LEARNED?
so if you want to be learn smarter not harder rather than depend only to lecturer and spend lot of time reading but still cannot understand... you can teach other and learn together so you can have a good grades with your comrades :)
DIFFERENT BETWEEN BRAIN AND MEMORY
a brain is an organ and we also can see it which is do multitasking to keep our body system work perfectly like gathering information from our senses such as ear,eye or skin while memory is thing we cannot see but we can know it there and exist.memory is an ability of individual to recall,stored some experience or information.memory is divided by 2 :-
a)short term memory-short term memory is information that we can only remember for on;y 30 sec until 24hours because our brain thinks that information are not/less important
b
)long term memory-is memory that we can recall immediatly such as name or places that familiar with us
SQ3R TO REMEMBER INFORMATION FOR LONG TERM MEMORY
CAUSES OF POOR CONCENTRATION
- distraction-mainly from phone continuosly beeping phone from girlfriend or things like that or friend beside us that keeps talking non-stop
- illness,tiredness,personal problems-it will makes our memory ability being greatly inffective because we thinking something else or our body working hard to remove bad germs or viruses
- lack of interest-maybe that certain subject are ways too hard plus the lecturer are too bored to be handle for student
STRATEGIES FOR IMPROVING CONCENTRATION
- active learner-you can rid of internal distraction such as boredness,unmotivated by actively participate in learning process by taking notes or highlight some important info
- goal setting technique-create a motivational reward for yourself for completing your task
- manage your stress level-eat nutritious ,do some exercise and hanging some time with friend but not too frequently because if you still study in under stress environment you will hardly to remember a thing
- use techniques for manage internal external distraction-learn to say NO if your friend want to hang up with you and show them what day or time that you free and take action if the environment too noisy by rebuke them or go to quiet place,then silent your phone or a gadget that will distract you
